School Day

USUAL DAILY  ROUTINES

REGISTRATION Go to the room assigned to your Registration Group in time for registration at 8.55 a.m.
IF YOU ARRIVE LATE If you arrive too late for registration, (i.e. after 9.00 a.m.) go to the main school office to register.  If you arrive after 9.15 a.m. you must register in the office before going to class.
ASSEMBLY This takes place each morning at 9.05 a.m. in the Girls’ Gym.
FOLLOW THE TIME-TABLE Use the plan to find rooms.

Each teacher will help you find the next classroom.

BREAK After Break, when the warning bell sounds, go to Period 4 classroom.

If a Laboratory, wait outside.

LUNCH-TIME All pupils go to the Dining Hall.  Afterwards go outside to the main playground at the pavilion.  If the weather is wet, classrooms (usually some of Rooms 4 – 8) will be available.
LOCKER BAY Go to Lockers only before Assembly, at Break, at Lunch time and at the end of the day.  You may also use your locker before P.E.  and Games classes.
IF YOU HAVE BEEN ABSENT Bring a letter of explanation from your parents to your Tutor on the day on which you return.
IF YOU TAKE SICK IN SCHOOL Report to Mrs. McGarry (School Nurse).   Your tutor will show you where to go.
IF YOU HAVE TO LEAVE DURING SCHOOL HOURS FOR AN APPOINTMENT Bring a letter from your parents to the Head of Year/Pastoral Adviser at least one day before your planned absence.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS Name tags must be attached to ALL items of school uniform.  Schoolbags, books and all other articles brought to school MUST be clearly marked with the owner’s name in several places.  Valuables should not be brought to school.
MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICES (MEDs) We recommend that MEDs are not brought to school.  However, if MEDs e.g. Mobile phones are brought to school the following guidelines must be followed:-

You may only use your mobile phone before school, at break, lunch time or after school, unless given permission by a member of staff.

You must switch off your mobile phone at all other times during the school day.

You must take the responsibility of looking after your mobile phone at all times.

MEDs of any kind must not, under any circumstances, be used to take photographs/videos in school.
