STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Its aim is to empower future generations to grow their problem solving and practical skills to overcome a range of real life problems.
At Ballymena Academy we provide our students with many opportunities to develop these skills both inside and outside of the classroom. We aim to inform them of and equip them for the vast and ever growing range of careers available in this field. Our students have access to a range of STEM focused co-curricular clubs and through these have made invaluable links with leading industry experts such as Dyson, Wrightbus, N.I.E. and many more. This has aided our pupils in gaining success with their projects at numerous competitions each year, as far afield as Dublin, Birmingham and London.
