Sentinus R&D

Sentinus R&D teams meet on a Monday after school and are selected from Year 13 pupils who are interested in pursuing a career in Engineering. 

Sentinus link the school teams to local engineering companies who provide the pupils with a real engineering problem, which the pupils have to solve.  By developing their research skills, a selection of solutions are obtained before the final solution is selected by the team.  A prototype model and poster are produced to illustrate the chosen solution.  The teams then present all ideas to a panel of engineers from the company and local industry in a formal presentation.
