Ballymena Academy recognised for its promotion of mental health and well-being amongst its pupils.
Aware NI recognise Ballymena Academy as one of a ‘leading’ number of schools across Northern Ireland, for their contribution to the promotion of mental health and well-being amongst its pupils.
The awards ceremony took place at the Titanic Building in Belfast with the award being presented by Paulo Ross, who is an Ambassador of Aware NI. Well done to all of our staff for the recognition of their pastoral care to all of our pupils.
The school have been investing time and resources to promote pupil mental health and well being. This has been done through mental health workshops and training staff in mental health first aid.
Mr. Johnston had the pleasure of accepting the award on behalf of staff at Ballymena Academy.
