Dyson Build and Design Workshop
On Monday, 18th June, all Year 11 Triple Award Physics pupils took part in a Dyson Build and Design workshop. The workshop was run by past pupil and Dyson Engineer Jonathan McGaughey.
All pupils thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working in teams to design and build. Their chosen new products were modelled out of card and Dyson parts, before each team gave a brief presentation explaining their idea and costings and how their model was to work.
In the afternoon our Dyson workshops were rounded off by Jonathan providing a presentation on engineering as a career and a very informative talk about The Dyson Foundation. Year 11 then had the opportunity to participate in a Q & A session with Jonathan.
A great day was had by all, many thanks to Dyson and Jonathan for coming along and running the workshops.
