Nursery Science Show
During last week, Mrs McFarland and Dr Donnelly were delighted to introduce five classes of very young recruits to the amazing world of science!
Pupils in Ballymena Nursery school and Gracehill and Galgorm Playgroup thought about how Miss Rabbit from Peppa Pig can teach us about magnets and how magnets can pick up objects made from iron. Many brave pupils held their own stick insect as they learnt how these insects camouflage themselves from birds.
Everyone was very excited to see how air can knock down skittles or blow hair, but the most popular experiment was seeing how air pressure can squeeze an egg inside a bottle.
We wish these scientists of the future well as they get ready to start primary school in September.
