Schools’ International Athletic Board Cross Country Championships

On Saturday 24th March, Katie Agnew (Year 12) represented Irish Schools at the Schools’ International Athletic Board Cross Country Championships at Wollaton Park, Nottingham. The U17 intermediate girls’ race was a tough, hilly 4.5k route. Competing against the best from England, Scotland and Wales, the Irish team had a strong performance and finished in bronze medal position.

Next month Katie will travel to London to compete at the London Mini Marathon (British Athletics 3 mile Road Championships). Katie was selected to represent Northern Ireland Schools at this competition following her fine performance at Ulster Schools’ Cross Country Finals.
